This politician is the leader of the republican rural party and they are in a coalition with a republican suburban party. Ever since Assange was first in the ecuadorian embassy they along with their rightwing Murdoch press have been pushing for Assange to be criminalised. It’s only recently since the labor government has been pushing for his release and it’s quite obvious the vast majority of Australians want him released have the neoliberal ultranationalist coalition come on board. He’s the worst of the worst politician in Australia. He has probably done more damage to rural Australia than any politician in history. I’m glad they’re finally trying to do something but he truly is the biggest piece of 💩💩💩💩💩💰💰💰💰💰

Much too late, but better than never. It’s a tragedy for this poor honest man, who did nothing as showing the murdering of Iraqi citizen, and others. Our Government should not only ask to release Mr Assange home, they should apply to make the responsible Officials for Mr Assange’s ordeal accountable, so for all the war crime murders. US should be to an international war tribunal.
I don’t know, why we suddenly bring Mr Assange politically up again. Is here any election to be campaigned here. I am getting cynical, as our governments have not given a dime till now for an innocent honest Australian Journalist, who provided the world with the truth about the Iraq, Afghanistan wars. US has even the courage to demand Mr Putin as war criminal to be given to these lunatics, the biggest crime Guild. Just hurry up with bringing him home. I would love to support him. Last time they showed pictures from him, he looked bewildered, and like a caveman. It had already gone too far when they forcibly removed him from the Ecuadorian embassy. Now it's just a matter of political disdain and contempt for humanity.

Winning amnesty for Assange by bringing him back to Australia will be honest with him as well as show the world that unrestricted access to information of public interest must be a reality. Above all, it will be a necessary gesture to reinforce that democracy and freedom are, in fact and in law, inalienable values that must prevail unconditionally.
