It's good to know what it's like to fight Russians.
I mean, the fact Americans have air support is what makes them the best military. Air Supiority is the most important thing in modern warfare.
Not sure of the morality of turning up killing enemy x for country y then popping back home to comfy old safe England for telly and the NHS when things go wrong/get fed up/get wounded/ill.
That option isn’t on the cards for either the Ukrainians or the Russians. War tourism could be a way to describe it. It was an interesting interview and I suspect a lot of the horror had been edited out.

If the Canadians wanted to leave a lasting impression they should have deployed the CSOR. However I suspect that would have left a too official message.
38:00 On the part about getting green wood for a fire and not being issued mess tins: The US army isn't going to teach bayonet fighting anymore. Like what are you suppose to do when you run out of ammunition halfway through a fight?

It really need some kind of "special" to join that war… That idiot should be happy, he came back alive and not in a plastic bag… Jimmy, stop playing with fire.
To fight in this war only prolongs the death, maiming, destruction of Ukrainian homes and livelihoods. The Ukrainian government rejected Minsk 2 agreement, and the peace it would have brought. Ukraine does not deserve European support. The US is waging a proxy war on Russia, they should receive no support from Europe. NATO is the single greatest threat to European security. It therefore must be disbanded.
Back in 04 we got rid of our LBVs/ pistol belt and suspenders which had canteens that fit into metal canteen, but no utensils all that came in a plastic spork in your modern MREs. Your right modern US army uses camelbacks for water not canteens because that's all in our modern box bag MREs
