As far as I am concerned it could only be the Americans. If it was the Ukrainians, and let us be clear, they also had a strong enough motive for doing so but based on what I have observed of Zelensky, he would have been crowing like a rooster if they had done it, even if it was just to show off in Russia's face. Every miniature victory in this conflict that Ukraine enjoyed was shouted out from the top of his lungs. He would not have done something like this and kept quiet about it.

Nobody speaks of the fourth pipeline – we are told that only three were blown up. My guess is that if the 4th pipeline is still in tact Germany is under pressure to not use it as this would reveal the lie to the allegation of Russian involvement in the sabotage. Given that the unexploded pipe was almost certainly also mined, that implies the charges are still in place or, more likely, someone has since removed them. I guess the Swedish investigation could have provided cover but also the nearby island is NATO member Denmark. Regardless there are clearly further aspects that might be productively investigated.
