It's horrible what his sister and her family experienced, it's sad and heart wrenching all hope and prayers for her safe return. I don't quite believe him when he says Hamas is the worst people on earth, I am afraid there are many worst around this man that he knows about. Hamas, which he calls terrorists, is a group of heartless Palestinians on a path for vengeance. They want to avenge for a reason, what is it that Israeli government has done to make them so angry? This anger had to have been present before the day of their vengeful attacks. We have 1 country with 2 States and only 1 State is allow to rule the country, do you know any other peoples that would accept this kind of unilateral arrangement, I didn't think so either. Do you still think Hamas is a terrorist organization or a angry group of people trying to get world attentions, they are watching unfair ruling and their love ones being kill and they feel helpless. Dogs cats animals babies children and also adults do horrible things for attention, considering the severity level of the situation why would a Palestinian group be any different?

Your interview could not explore whether your Guest, who confessed to being an Isreali Army Reservist, had had any interactions with the Palestinains and suggested that he was an innocent bystander. While he condemned Hamas's actions, (which I also do), he said nothing about Nyetinyahu and the Isreali armies rhetoric of calling Palestinains animals. Until people like him condemn also the killing of Palestinain children, there can be no hope of building trust. This was the lesson of Late Bishop Tutu's Truth and Reconciliation Council. Both sides have to acknowledge their own wrong doing.

The most intelligent thing he said is the Palestinian cause is legitimate. Therefore, you know he’s not advocating to get rid of Palestine. It strengthens all his arguments against Hamas. It’s always suspicious when Israeli’s refuse to acknowledge, and especially when they demur, Palestinians deserve peace and freedom. I AM AN UNEQUIVOCAL SUPPORTER OF A JEWISH STATE, as after the Holocaust Jews could never fell safe without their own state and are owed a state as an apology for the years of repression that link back to Jesus death and every time they became an acceptable scapegoat after Jesus death even though they were scapegoated for many non-religious reasons like “stabbing Germany in its back” and thus causing Germany’s loss in WW2.
NEVERTHELESS, Palestinians deserve a home country, but the entire Arab world has to take some responsibility for trying to settle the question forcibly at the end of the 1940s. If they did start the violence then, there’s a good chance Israel wouldn’t have become so closely associated with the western world. Furthermore, in war, sometimes you have to understand that in practical terms you’re at a major disadvantage, so take the best deal you can get and work your way up from there. It’s like when an innocent person get an offer of freedom many have refused on principle and demand full exoneration, but, imo, the smartest people refuse the Alford plea but accept early parole and fight for exoneration from outside of jail. Palestinians should have pressured Arafat to accept the deal offered in 2002 and then in the decades after slowly fight through dialog and international forums for administration of your own holly sites and other contentious issues that weren’t included in the 2002 deal. Fighting through terrorism isn’t going to get Palestinians anywhere and they’ll end up living in a waste land like Taliban controlled Afghanistan, where women are practically slaves in worst ways then anyone is treated now by Israel. Palestinians voted for them in 2006 and the reward was no elections in the 17 years since. Fighting that goes on for longer than 10 years in the form of combat never wins. Someone tell me one modern conflicted that lasted 10 years and had an amicable solution (talking since 1945 or even 1919).

This is the result of the cycle of hatred and vengeance for which certain people of both sides are to blame. Hamas didn't start as a terrorist org or as the ones in charge of Gaza.
