"Like in the times of Noah" and a myriad other events in history show most people don't pay attention even when shown evidence of imminent destruction. I feel a black swan event for our species is inevitable. The signs have been evident for years. I would suggest leaving the cities.

People have had so many fear mongering situations thrown at them, that many just believe this is another one and that nothing will come from it.

Mainstream media are only allowed to read their prompters and never allowed to go off script or they lose their job, none are willing to put their livelihood on the line.
If nuclear war happens ,the food will be ruined, wildlife will all die, anyone who survives will have to deal endless disease with no infrastructure like hospitals ,police, food stores , water will be completely radio active ,etc, etc, etc the list never ends , i'd rather be at the epicenter. But if i were to survive my life long goal would be to seek out and eliminate those responsible!
I am absolutely sick of the situation, it is so miserable to witness these events unfold. Will humanity never learn? We are so derailed as a species.

Anyone who seriously cares about Ukrainian lives should vehemently oppose this war, and the Western escalations that led to it and prolong it. They should be calling for immediate de-escalation and negotiation. The fact that they don’t shows their ignorance and malice.

I want Stephen F. Cohen back to input some rationality into the Ukraine situation. It's alarming that most Americans are being fed the "Russia is bad" propaganda by every media voice of any size, and seconded by the latest retired military analyst they have on payroll. The media outlets NEVER allow a dissenting point of view.
EDIT: Jeffrey Sachs on MSNBC's Morning Joe last year maintained that both the US and Russia were both at fault for the war and that negotiations should be used to bring about the end of the war, much to the startled faces of Joe, Mika and the panel. He hasn't been invited back.
