How Endless Wars Keep Elites Secure At Home

What’s critically important about a war like Ukraine is not that it promotes democracy or “deters” an enemy or even that it enriches defense contractors, necessarily — it’s that this kind of war provides the public with something to focus their attention on and concern themselves with BESIDES the economic pillaging going on at home by the establishment and elites.

Guest host Craig “Pasta” Jardula and Americans’ Comedian Kurt Metzger talk to writer John Leake about war as a necessary distraction once the COVID pandemic began winding down.

  1. We were joking about who the US would start a war with after they printed all that money. I thought it was common knowledge that they make money off war and use them to bolster the economy. Listen to 'Kinky sex makes the world go round' by the Dead Kennedys (its a skit not a song) as true today as it was in 1987.

  2. "Why of course the people don't want war. Why should some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally the common people don't want war neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”

"We need to increase public understanding of the need for medical countermeasures such as a Pan Coronavirus vaccine. A key driver is the media, and the economics will follow the hype. We need to use that hype to our advantage to get to the real issues. Investors will respond if they see profit at the end of the process" – Peter Daszak, National Academy of Press Publication, Feb 2, 2015

  3. With the amount of control that the US Permanent State has over the government, media, and law organizations they literally can get away with murder and stealing. Until a different group that is equally as evil as our permanent state rises-up and soundly defeats them; we are stuck with these unethical, money worshiping thugs.

  4. 2:57 seeing how the competition fosters and engenders distorted communications, nihilistic behavior and a catatonic state, don’t expect dialogue to make any difference. I’ll bet a dollar it comes down to high explosives 🧨 which is typical for desperation in any competition and regardless of which side you support.

  5. 3:17 human nature is contextual within its ethical realm. If people compete to win as the fundamental rule of “why people do what they do”, what would they do if competing was not the underlying reason? So, human nature can go either way depending on context and to say that humans are flawed by default and that’s the way things are is wrong. I don’t buy that argument and you shouldn’t either.

  6. 6:40 great point! If someone tells you a bear is in the adjoining room, the only way to “know” the “truth” is to physically go see if the bear is “really” there. George Gurdjieff explains best how this works and is the most sure way to gain “understanding “. Americans don’t know anything, hence they don’t understand anything and are incapable of “doing” anything. Changing this is possible but not like we are currently.
