  1. Ofcourse, because someone who was democratically elected and subsequently resigned absent any scandals is just a 'kindly authoritarian'. You cant win, what does good leadership actually look like then? And if Ardern is authoritarian, what does that make Donald Trump, or, Augusto Pinochet, or, Margaret Thatcher? (I used pinochet because Thatcher helped shelter him in his later days).

  2. It never ceases to amaze me that given the massacre in NZ the first thing this walking red flag did was to blame all firearms owners when it was an Aussie that committed the crime. Any f**king excuse to take away people's property and rights!! When only agents of the state have guns……….BEWARE!!

  3. This issues with her gun controls is that they won't work. Just as the handgun ban in the UK hasn't done anything to reduce gun crime – prior to Dunblane almost all gun crime was criminals using illegal guns and since Dunblane almost all gun crime is down to criminals using illegal guns – she has just attacked law abiding gun owners, who were never much of a threat. In the UK, cars kill more people every week than lawfully owned guns kill in ten years, but we are constantly gaslight to fear law-abiding, vetted people owning guns. All of the government's data shows gun owners are less of a risk than any other group of people in the UK, but they are smeared and demonised. Ardern did the same in NZ and they are pushing back.

  4. But who is replacing her? Do we think the WEF will allow a more normal leader to run NZ, or any former sovereign nation? The following quotes are examples of the thinking of deranged utopians:
"This moment requires we the people to rethink democracy as a global mechanism for enacting policy for and by the planet." – Daphne Muller [Green-progressive-liberal writer for Salon]

"Nations are in effect ceding portions of their sovereignty to the international community and beginning to create a new system of international environmental governance." – Lester Brown [Founder of the Worldwatch Institute, and founder and president of the Earth Policy Institute]

"The concept of national sovereignty has been immutable, indeed a sacred principle of international relations. It is a principle which will yield only slowly and reluctantly to the new imperatives of global environmental cooperation." – UN's Commission on Global Governance:

"Democracy is not a panacea. It cannot organize everything and it is unaware of its own limits. These facts must be faced squarely. Sacrilegious though this may sound, democracy is no longer well suited for the tasks ahead. The complexity and the technical nature of many of today’s problems do not always allow elected representatives to make competent decisions at the right time." – Club of Rome

  5. But did you see the new ahole they're lining up? He said they'd basically hunt down (needles, not guns, or maybe guns) every last unvxd person!
It's not so much about specific populations, but about the majority (even if a slim majority) of the people are germophobic, hypochondriac, authoritarian, fear-mongering bigots. The PEOPLE. These politicians are "left-wing" populists running the country in the name of corporate profits and stoking fear.
