The mainstream media in Brazil are heavily criticizing Lula for not siding Ukraine in the war and for not clearly condemning Russia. Some Brazilian journalists are even saying Lula should shut up because he's just embarrassing himself.
As a Brazilian, portuguese always sounded to me like a slower version of spanish. But brazilian accent is closer to italian than to portuguese from Portugal.
