I'm in my early twenties and although I am not ceratin that I'm indicative of anything more widespread among my pears,free speech for me has been a issue associated with the right almost exclusively,which doesn't bode well for the left in the future,considering its such a common sense thing.This whole twitter thing was so obvious that I'm actually surprised that it wasn't even more vile.Thinking Elon is keeping that stuff as an insurance policy perhaps.

The US government has given him tens of billions in grants and tens of billions in contracts. The Chinese have given him hundreds of millions in free rent. Elong pays almost nothing in taxes. He exploits his factory workers and crushes their attempts to unionize. Paaa-leeze! What he is doing at twatter might be to your benefit right now, but he is NOT benevolent. The narrative machine kicked into high gear literally minutes after the drop. It's uncanny how lock-step the talking points were. "Taibbi used to be amazing [obligatory comparisons to his days in Occupy Wall Street etc]", "Just a right wing hack doing the bidding of billionaires", "Putin's puppet [obligatory references to his time working abroad with pointed notes to his time in Russia]", and finally of course works like nothing-burger, misconstruing 1A and general gaslighting.
It's just gross to see the usual suspects blue-pilling the world against Taibbi. Standard case of burying the messenger when you don't like (or have the firepower to fight) the message.
It's amazing that so far none of the 'main stream' media besides fox has covered this story. Well not amazing. Typical. It seems their entire strategy is and has been to just ignore stories they don't like. Then on twitter we are seeing all these independent. "journalist" call out Taibbi. Because he helped Musk. How about they do their job and actually try and discredit with evidence. Instead of trying charatcer assassination? It is so sad watching these folks all Matt a sell-out, when he's clearly the one of the only ones left who actually does his job

JohntoEmily is a bot. OptimismOfTheWill too. People began noticing in RBN how they join in and regularly say high to each other in a pattern and say hi to the chat. They will troll left public figures like Matt, Dore, Greenwald, certainly you guys if you’re being interviewed on one of the other channels. People try to correct them and they’re reply with something vaguely on topic and confusing the person who backs off.
RBN interview of JD yesterday made this really apparent to multiple people. Your channel name even came up because there is a cross over from these people who seemed like just bad faith actors but now it looks more like it’s someone running these bots and might occasionally jump in themselves to write something.
Unfortunately, for some of us, the information is great but the language and F bombs don’t allow me to hit the subscribe button. Too much trash.
In a teaching moment or the meaning of Jungian projection, the shit lib response to this story marks their own demise, and not the demise of Twitter.
