Why would Russia negotiate with the West after all the times they (the West) lied to and doublecrossed Russia (and many others). They lied about NATO expansion. They lied about Libya. The ripped up the Paris accords, they lied about Minsk, they ripped up the JPCOA. Shit they are like a serially promiscuous wife. If she cheats once you can maybe get over it and give her a second chance. Maybe it was a combination of factors and she's very sorry. If she then goes out and cats around with another guy, that's it. It's over. No more chances.
