It's going to be interesting the answer as I see it is to join BRICS which we can only do as a sovereign nation. Rumour has it that Germany has done so, that creates some havoc if true and enables an Agincourt signal to be given to Brussels and NATO which other European nations might find attractive. My main fear is that Boris might return.
Brexit doesn't matter one way or another. It is pretty clear that the people who are supposed to protect our interest ( in both parties) are handled by others who work against most peoples interests. Power and money is the only influencer.

As an American, I don't see in what way the British Conservative party is actually conservative. They just seem a little less left wing than the Labor party.

I'd rather be within the EU with influence if all the UK is going to do is follow the same policy as Ursula von der Crazy and hope that one day, the UK will have a leader that can help lead the EU back to sanity. I'm not a great fan of the EU at the moment, but as I say, if the UK is going to use its new found freedom to do exactly the same as the EU, we may as well have the benefits of the single market and customs union

I welcome the UK back in EU, or rather Aistrip One back into Eurasia and out of Oceanias clutches. The dream for me is a NATO collapse and a strong Europe. I’m astounded how they can hold a vote, drag their feet so much, that they essentially are going to ignore the outcome and do what they want anyway. I think it goes exactly like what you’re saying. Hold another vote under the guise of, see it didn’t work, let’s get back in the EU. All that will have been done just to punish the people for voting a certain way and will probably have less of a standing when you rejoin.
