The system is rotten and hence it spits out decaying and rotten morons . The system has been made corrupted systematically to serve the rich and powerful. Corporate coup de tat has been ongoing for decades. The rich and the powerful were always in control but there was a semblance of independence in the liberal institutions- the education system, the judiciary, the media… but these have long been co-opted into power structure and therefore we effectively live in a totalitarian proto fascist system where the government is for , by and of the corporations. Until the power is in the hands of the people nothing is ever going to change.
The US is no longer a Republic. It is an Oligarchy ruled by corporate and financial elites. Our foreign policy is dictated by transnational corporations. There is a bad moon rising in this country.
U.s. and Europe interests no longer align. They say we’re seeing the proof that buying Russian gas was not in Europe’s interest, and yet it is only because of the u.s. that this is so. War in Ukraine is not in Europe’s interest, and yet the u.s. pursued this conflict in part to cut this economic relationship. Next the u.s. will try cutting ties between china and Europe, while china is their largest trading partner and shares a land mass with Asia. Many countries in eu have already signed up for the belt and road, the project most feared by u.s. elites. Europe can expect some hard times ahead, due only to the u.s. ruling elites.

In my personal experience civilians tend to be more gung ho then veterans. This is because civilians have 0 clue what war actually entails, they think it’s a Marvel movie.

I enjoy your discussion. Perhaps I should be more worried than just glad to hear good people who truly understand history and make sense… but I don't think people in political or military leadership are listening, much less the rank and file Americans… to me, it seems like there is a mass psychosis of "stupid" infecting millions and not just the criminals who stole our government's Executive Branch in 2020… Lord, have mercy I pray!

The US has effectively declared war on Russia. The US is sending missiles to Ukraine. It would be reasonable for Russia to respond by attacking US missile manufacturing or supply chains. It seems the US congress has gotten us into a world war without any vote of Americans.
