Just a matter of time before some new serial recognizes the new normies, and are vilified, as in The Hunt (2020).
Great review, Russell! Haven't watched any of it, and was going to, for Jenny Ortega, but if the show murders the Addams Family legacy, I'm out. Completely.
This is as pointless as any other conservative fake outrage about "sjw wokeness"
come on guys you're better than this
It looks like it was made with tiktok in mind. It's probably geared towards gen z, so… gen z and tiktok (primitive technological human hive mind?) go hand in hand.
The young teens in my life LOVE Wednesday. They actually invited me, a GenX dad, to watch with them which warmed my cold, dead heart.
I really didn't come to the show with any expectations. I'm more of a Dune guy. I find the show shallow and off-putting (but don't tell my teens I said so).
Actually, I LIKE that they cast Guzman. He looks more like the original cartoon that Addam's drew, and how cool would be to see such a rough looking dude having at it with Morticia?
@06:06 " It's a tough time to be a straight old white dude working in Hollywood right now – these fellas are looking back over their shoulders and seeing a mob of pink-haired, septum-peirced psychos…" HA!
Seen the 1st episode and couldn't find the words of how disappointed I was. You put it into perfect words. Thanks Russell. You're the best.
